How it Works

  • Register for a Zoom Legal Clinic on the Events page.
  • Attend the Clinic.
  • You'll receive a letter notifying you whether ALAS has accepted your case.
  • If your case is accepted, note that all clients of ALAS are required to enter into a Retainer Agreement.

Note on Retaining ALAS

ALAS provides pro bono and low bono services on a flat fee in equal monthly installments, depending on income and other factors. In addition, we require all clients to be responsible for filing fees, service fees, copies, postage, mileage reimbursement, convenience fees, and other costs or expenses associated with the case. Some clients may qualify to have filing fees and service fees waived by the applicable court or county. ALAS firmly believes for its business model to work, providing pro bono and low bono legal services to those who would otherwise not have representation, its clients must have a financial stake in the litigation.
